Kitchen
Our food is rooted in Catalonian and Spanish culinary traditions, from tapas to full dishes. But we’ve been bold enough to update some of the most classic recipes to make them more accesible to today’s food culture.
A good example is the Mandonguilles amb Sipia (Meatballs and Squid), the quintessential Catalonian surf ‘n’ turf. This dish has always been served on a plate, often with potatoes and bread on the side. We decided to make a sandwich of it. More than a few eyebrows were raised when we first served it to customers. But once they’d tasted it no further explanation was necessary. It absolutely respects the traditional flavors and it’s really, really tasty!
Other popular dishes include the smoked eggplant with tzatziki and pomegranate seeds,
our pastrami sandwich where the whole curing process takes place in-house
and our absolutely delicious pure Iberian ham, free range from the high plains of southwestern Spain.
Wine
We put a lot of work into offering an exciting wine selection with many wines served by the glass. We don’t focus too much on whether the wines are natural or conventional, though there are plenty of both. Instead, our guiding principle is that the wine has to be well-made. If the wine isn’t good, then what are we even talking about? Also, the price should be reasonable and reflect the work that has gone into making the wine. So on our wine list, which is ever-changing, you’ll find bottles of all kinds and styles. But they all have something in common: they’ve been made with passion and knowledge!
Craft beer – we brew!
A good beer can be every bit as exciting as a good wine. So we have 10 taps from which we pour craft beers of various styles and some of these we make ourselves! We makes Belgian-style beers, in a refreshing break from the typical craft beer places that mainly serve American-type brews. Still, we always have several taps dedicated to other brands and styles as well, including IPAs of various types. Regardless of style, the great majority of the beer we pour are from right here in Catalonia where the brewing culture is strong.
